The Educational Page

Miriam Keith
I've been interested and involved in health/wellness fields since 1979, when I worked as a childbirth educator and consultant. I still do a little of that, but went at it steadily for 16 years. In 1990, I decided I needed some amount of formal schooling for my interests, so I went to Washington State Community College and received a degree in Social Services Technology. I then worked as a prevention specialist at EVE, Inc. for almost six years. I am the coordinator of the Washington County Prevention Council, the administrator of the Washington County Community Crisis Response Team, and I am a conflict resolution and peer mediation trainer. I became the Community Education Coordinator for the Washington County MHAR Board in January of 1999. I love this job, because it is flexible, offers autonomy, and allows me to be constantly learning.
